HOUSE AT KNOCKANANA
This house is located in a very rural setting and the clients were keen to reflect this with a simple vernacular form and use of natural materials. The house is one and a half storey with spectacular views to the east. The clients wanted a feature corner window maximizing solar gain and views to the east. The entrance hall houses an open oak staircase and is filled with natural light due to the large entrance door feature. A gallery also leads from the staircase above to create an interesting space. The main kitchen/living dining area is open plan with a double sided stove and steps down to a living room used to seperate the spaces. Externally a single storey stone faced garage with a useful covered canopy helps to breakdown the mass of the building.
