HOUSE IN RATHDRUM, CO. WICKLOW
This house is situated in a site close to the village. The planners did not want the house to be obtrusive from the front (main road) so it was decided that a traditional dormer style would be most suitable. To the rear of the house is one and a half story. This allowed more windows at first floor level rather than dormer windows. A vaulted ceiling in the dining/ living area made a feature of the room as well as concertina doors that lead out to the garden. The hallway features a curved oak stairs with gallery landing.
