EXTENSION/ REFURBISHMENT IN REDCROSS
The clients were keen to totally refurbish this 1960's dormer bungalow. The layout of all of the rooms needed to be redesigned to maximise south light. The existing kitchen was small and in the darkest part of the house so this was turned into a utility and an existing bedroom was turned into the kitchen. A small extension was added to the side of the house to accomodate a living/ dining room. The existing spiral stairs had to be removed and a feature staircase was installed. The front elevation of the house was totally transformed as it was dated. Originally there was a gable proposed to the front of the house but the planners requested that it was removed.
