EXTENSION/ REFURBISHMENT IN AVOCA
The existing kitchen in the house was very small and dark and the utility to the rear was badly insulated. The brief was to add a wheelchair accessible bathroom and bedroom onto the house. Instead of using the extnesion to house these it was decided that the existing kitchen would serve better as a wheelchair accessible bathroom as it was the ideal size and to refurbish the rear living room and turn it into a bedroom. This meant that an under 40sqm kitchen/living/dining extension could be built to the rear. The clients wanted a room filled with light with velux's and windows to take advantage of the southern sun and to be open onto the garage which could never be seen from the house prior. The end result is a stunning room with a vaulted ceiling highly insulated and with a feature gable window.
